ArtSea 2018

The Big Blue & You is hosting ArtSea, our annual festival, at the same park the day after this cleanup as preparation for the event.

We need the park to be as free from plastic pollution as possible to really stress the use of reusable straws, utensils, and other items during the festival. You are welcome to come to the event even if you don't also participate in the cleanup, but it would be greatly appreciate if you could participate in both.

Here is some information about the event:

ArtSea is a FREE, fun-filled outdoor festival celebrating the ocean with STEAM activities. All children and families are invited to enjoy:

  • Interactive Art
  • Live Music & Drumming
  • Marine Science Stations
  • Water Safety
  • Dance Party
  • Beach Clean Up
  • Fitness & Yoga
  • Stand Up Paddle Boarding
  • Meet Mocha Mermaid & Friends

ArtSea is the one day you can celebrate the oceans that bring community members together. ArtSea invites multicultural and diverse groups of people to dive deep into ocean conservation themed art, create it and learn through hands-on marine science experience to discover a love of the sea.

Whether you spend every weekend on the beach or have never seen it, this art by the sea festival combines love of art with education about the environmental issues that we’re facing.
