Join 4Ocean to celebrate a BiG event with a beach and coastline cleanup in Fort Lauderdale

4Ocean is celebrating something BIG at Hugh Taylor Birch State Park!

On Saturday, July 21, from 8 AM to 11 AM, join 4Ocean, Hugh Taylor Birch State Park, and the City of Ft. Lauderdale as they celebrate a BIG milestone with a beach and shoreline cleanup.

Around 16 billion pounds of trash enters the ocean every year, which threatens the health of marine life and our ocean ecosystems. 4Ocean is a global movement actively removing plastic and trash from the ocean and coastlines while inspiring individuals to work together for cleaner oceans, one pound at a time.

Parking will be available at the park. Please register at the 4Ocean check-in station located near the Visitor’s Center close to the beach access area. If the park’s lots become full, we’ll have folks direct you to additional parking provided by the city in the Natchez Lot off of Vistamar. We encourage everyone to carpool if possible.

Please note that while water and fruit will be made available, you should plan to bring your own reusable water bottles and snacks. You’ll also want to bring plenty of bug spray and mineral-based sunscreen. We look forward to seeing you there!

4Ocean check-in station will be near the Visitor’s Center close to the beach access area.
