We Are Nature Deering Point Cleanup 7/27/19

We Are Nature will be hosting a cleanup at Deering Point on July 27, 2019 (8 AM- 11 AM)! Let's protect the environment and make the world a better place!

You will be able to receive community service hours. After the event, we will email volunteers a signed form verifying the number of hours they have served.

An email will be sent out to registered volunteers at a later date with more specific instructions and detailed information.

Parking: Free parking available for volunteers.

Meeting Spot: All volunteers will be meeting at 17350 Old Culter Rd under one of the shelters.

We provide all the tools at our cleanups (gloves, garbage bags, sunscreen, bug spray). However, we STRONGLY recommend that volunteers bring a reusable water bottle! If you would like to bring any tools of your own such as garbage bags or gloves, you are more than welcome to! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us. We look forward to working alongside you!

Bill Baggs State Park Monthly Beach Cleanup

Come on out and join us for our Monthly Beach Cleanup from 9 am - 11 am.  Please wear closed toe shoes and a hat and bring along sunscreen, insect repellant,  and a water bottle.  We will provide trash bags, plastic gloves and trash grabbers and iced tap water to refill your water bottles.

If you're bringing a group of children please have one chaperone present for every 10 individuals. Individuals under 16 years of age require adult supervision.  Please, no drop-offs.   Areas to be cleaned vary from month to month, based on the needs of the park.

Please be here promptly at 9 am so we can start everyone out at the same time and complete the activity before it gets too hot in the late morning.

This is a great way to earn volunteer hours for school, so please tell your classmates about this opportunity.  All Volunteers will receive a letter certifying their volunteer hours.

Cleanups are always held on the second Saturday of each month so if you cant make this event check back next month.

Thanks and we hope to see you here.  We believe that teaching stewardship for our parks is the best hope for the future of our parks.
