Help recycle at SOBE Wine & Food Festival, get to enjoy the event for free!
Hello All! I am inventor and founder of HaloVino Shatterproof wine glasses. Did you know plastic cups aren't recycled in Miami?!? I was shocked when I learned this.
The cups currently being used at SOBEWFF are neither reusable nor recyclable. With 60,000 attendees in 4 days, the landfill refuse is enormous!
We can't stop the world from drinking on the beach, where glass is not permitted, but at HaloVino we're on a misssion to create a world where living life to its fullest doesn't come at a damaging cost. HaloVino glasses are plastic, but are used like glass in the sense they are fully dishwasher safe and will last you for years!
Here's a little good news - I received the green light to pull together a small Beta test at select beach parties with 3K+ people at each. Given the short time frame, I proposed a small plan to remove all HaloVinos from going to landfills, with the hopes this relatively small scale initiative will show SOBEWFF and other large festivals that little creative and community effort can make a HUGE difference in how much plastic gets reused/repurposed and how much goes to landfills.
Here's the catch - I have to submit all the details for my plan right away! The more people that sign up, the more sustainable waste stations we can implement.
I am looking for at least 2-10 volunteers per night at the North Venue (Delano and Ritz beachside property) to stand at a sustainable waste station (garbage for HaloVino and one for general refuse) to advise guests on how to dispose HaloVino without contamination of other plastics.
If interestd, you would work half the night (7-8:30) and then enjoy the party the other half (8:30-10) or vice versa. Tickets range from $150-$350 for each night, but you attend for free as a volunteer!
Here are the links for the four events.
