Where to meet: We will be meeting at 9:00am at Virginia Key Beach (directly across from the Marine Stadium - on the Bayside of the Rickenbacker Causeway) there is a parking lot along the beach on your right-hand side, and we will have a table set up.
Supplies to Bring:
🦈 Reusable gloves
🦈 Reusable bags (for recyclables found)
🦈 Reusable water bottle (no single-use plastic bottles!)
🦈 Environmentally-safe Sunscreen
*We are also beginning to collect supplies to send over to the Bahamas Hurricane Relief, if you have any hurricane supplies that you would like to donate, we will have a donation bin set up at the event. The supplies are going to be brought over to the Bahamas directly from The International SeaKeepers Society aboard our private vessels.*
SeaKeepers will provide:
🦈 Garbage bags (for trash, debris, etc. found)
🦈 Hand Sanitizer/Wipes
🦈 Community Service Hours / Service Learning Hours Sheets (if needed)
Please download the mobile application, Clean Swell. The app allows you to document your findings at the beach cleanup, find out more here! The Marine debris isn't an ocean problem - it's a people problem, be part of the solution!
Feel free to share with friends, family, and your social media community!
*If needed, service learning hours / community service hour sheets will be available at the cleanup!*
