World Sea Turtle Day
Celebrate World Sea Turtle Day early with the City of Miami Beach! Every year, hundreds of endangered or threatened sea turtles visit our shores to pave the way for a new generation of little ones. Join us for the unveiling of a sand sculpture on Saturday, June 15 at 5:00 PM dedicated to the protection of our marine friends, followed by a beach clean-up with VolunteerCleanup.org. The sculpture will remain on site the remainder of the weekend to provide photo op.
VolunteerCleanup.org will provide all supplies for the cleanup--- gloves, garbage bags, buckets, pickers.
- Volunteers should dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes for walking on the beach.
- Please bring water in a reusable/refillable container. We will have water coolers for filtered water refills but will not be providing bottled water.
- Volunteers under 18 should print and have this waiver pre-signed by a parent/guardian and bring with you.
