North Beach Oceanside Park Coastal Cleanup


***IN PARTNERSHIP WITH SURFRIDER MIAMI CHAPTER***

Description: 

Planetary health is our health, our health is planetary health. As Beaches re-open we take a morning to make sure we are keeping the Ocean communities debris free. Fellow teachers, parents, and community revolutionaries will pick up litter in small "pods".

Participants:
Will be provided with sanitized buckets, and gloves. We will also provide earth friendly hand sanitizer, water, and extra masks. We encourage participants bring their own gear if they have to reduce exposure and maintain community safety. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN WATER BOTTLE & MASKS. Refills available. No age restrictions.

Safety:
"Pods": your small helping group will be limited to each household(under 4 people) or who you came to the event with(under 4 people). We encourage individuals keep 6+ feet distance at all times if not in the same household. Gloves are to be worn at all times, please wash before and after event if not organizer's gloves. Organizer will wash gloves before and after. Each Participant will be given instructions to reduce "grouping" for information. Please follow guidelines and respect community members who have their own safety standards. 

Site:
Street parking on Collins and side streets, bike parking inside park, accessible paths between park & beach.
North Beach Oceanside Park -- Individuals & families will start at halfway point(85th Street). From there they will head North to 87th Street or South to 79th Street. 
Start & End @ Halfway Point: 85th Street -- Walk through park entrance heading East to Beach, Surfrider will be present with supplies under an event tent right before beach entrance(you can also look out for their blue flag), we will text you instructions morning of to reduce crowding at supply station.
