Paddle Against Pollution - Oleta River State Park

Volunteers will be provided with kayaks for paddling from the park to Sandspur Island, collecting trash and returning to the park with it, where it will be placed in an appropriate trash receptacle. Kayaking experience is preferred. Those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. 

Check in: 9:30 am at the Outdoor Center in the park, Launch: 10 am, Return: 12 pm (noon)

Required: Kayak rental waiver
Provided: gloves, trash bags, kayak, paddle, life jacket
Suggested gear: sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, water, snacks, bug spray, towel, and water shoes or sandals, bluetooth speaker

Focus: Human Impact Reduction, Marine Debris Awareness and Removal
