Biscayne Bay Mangrove Paddle Clean Up | International Coastal Cleanup 2022

Join FillABag, Miami EcoAdventures and the Key Biscayne Community Foundation for an impactful and unforgettable experience during International Coastal Clean Up 2022.  You will need to BRING YOUR OWN paddleboard or kayak and personal floatation device, and join us for a guided tour into the Biscayne Bay mangroves by the Crandon Park Marina to remove marine debris from this vital habitat.  Parking at the Crandon Marina is free.

Spearheaded globally by the Ocean Conservancy, VolunteerCleanup.org organizes Miami-Dade County’s local participation in this worldwide event with 50+ shoreline cleanups around the county. The 2022 Miami-Dade ICC is made possible by the generous support of our Presenting Sponsors Covanta and the Rickenbacker Marina, our Strategic Sponsors Blackstone Charitable FoundationVerizon, and the Benjamin & Gloria Joannou, Jr. Family Conservation Fund, our Core Sponsors Miami-Dade County RER-DERM and Pubbelly Sushi, and our Supporting Sponsor Greenberg Traurig and the Consulate General of Canada.

All participants will be provided reusable gloves, buckets, bags, and guidance on the water by a team of experienced local environmentalists.

We encourage participants to:

  1. Bring your own SUP or Kayak
  2. Wear close toed (water) shoes
  3. Wear a long sleeve sun shirt, if possible
  4. Bring a reusable water bottle
  5. Wear reef safe sunscreen

A paper waiver for Miami-Dade County Parks will be provided on the day of the event. ** However, if you are under 18 and coming without a parent or guardian, you must have a parent/guardian print and sign the waiver HERE in advance, and bring it with you to the cleanup.

This year's shirts are available for purchase here!

This event is appropriate for ages 9+.  Any participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult, please.
