Come join SeaKeepers every month at Pelican Harbor! Weather permitting, we will clean up Pelican Island which is just across the Biscayne Bay. • Identifying and removing microplastics (any plastic fragment < 5mm in length) from Pelican Island and/or Pelican Harbor
• Cleaning the shoreline of debris and man-made trash
• Optional: Sort out recyclables from your findings for later drop-off in an appropriate facility/receptacle
• Optional: Utilize the Marine Debris Tracker App to help create a bigger picture of marine debris and plastic pollution through collecting open data, generating scientific findings, informing policy, and inspiring upstream design. You can earn extra community service hours by participating!
