Crandon Park's 75th Jubilee Coastal Cleanup
Join Miami EcoAdventures for a special coastal cleanup celebrating the 75th anniversary of Crandon Park.
Volunteers will assist Parks staff in removing marine debris from the Crandon Park shoreline, helping to keep our coastal ecosystems healthy. If you would like to volunteer for the celebration instead, please register here.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Cleaning up the shoreline along Crandon Park South
- Gathering and recording data
Qualifications: Park staff will provide parking passes, gloves, trash bags, and other supplies needed for the activity. We suggest wearing closed-toed shoes, comfortable clothes that will get dirty, and a hat/sunscreen to protect from the sun.
Volunteers should bring their own refillable water bottle to stay hydrated and any personal snacks. Volunteers are encouraged to download the Ocean Conservancy's Clean Swell App prior to the event in order to record debris data while collecting. After the event, participants are encouraged to visit the Crandon Park Gardens, adjacent to the meeting location, for the Crandon Park 75th Jubilee, a two-day celebration that is free and open to the public on November 19-20 from 10AM-4PM.
