The Chemical Society at FIU clean the beach!

Come join the Chemical Society at FIU for a fun and scientifically driven beach cleanup at Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park! Open to all FIU students regardless of major. **Please RSVP if you are interested! But keep in mind that this is an FIU-student driven beach cleanup and priority for FIU students takes precedence. :)

What to wear:

  • Wear appropriate footwear and comfortable, breathable clothes. Volunteers must wear closed-toed shoes like sneakers, no flipflops!
  • Sunglasses and hat are highly recommended.
  • Bring gloves if you have them, gardening gloves are preferred!
  • **If you are under 18 and coming without a parent or guardian, you must have a parent/guardian sign the waiver below in advance. Download Waiver
  • Let’s reduce waste and refuse single-use disposable plastic water bottles, when possible. So, please bring a reusable water bottle!

The Chemical Society's e-board will be available to carpool TO and FROM FIU's main campus, MMC. If carpooling is something you are interested in, please contact Emily Orme. Space is limited!
