City of Miami Police Department Bottom of the Ocean and beach Cleanups at Picnic Island.

NOTE THAT THIS CLEANUP IS SOLD OUT AT CAPACITY!    If you have not already pre-registered, we will not be able to accommodate you with transport to the island as we have limited capacity to do so. 

Please Join the City of Miami Police Department for a Bottom of the Ocean and Beach Cleanups at Picnic Island, in partnership with VolunteerCleanup.org, 4ocean, and the Biscayne Neighborhood Association. 

Miami Marine Patrol will be providing transportation to Picnic Island. Meet at the Miami Yacht Club. 4Ocean will be providing cleanup supplies.  The City will also be hosting raffle prizes and a pizza party after the cleanup, provided by the BNA 

Volunteers Should:

  • Dress for the weather and wear closed-toed shoes—no flip flops or sandals!   Hat and sunglasses are also recommended for a hot and sunny day. We provide sturdy ponchos in the case of light rain.
  • Please bring water in a reusable bottle so we can reduce plastic waste where possible. We will provide water coolers for cold water refills but will not be providing bottled water.
  • Download the Clean Swell App to participate in the Citizen Science Data Logging. You will work in teams of 2-3ppl
  • Volunteers must check-in and sign waivers before you start. Download Waiver  Pre-signing and bringing with you will help
