Waterway Cleanup with Blue Scholars Initiative

Please Join Blue Scholars Initiative for one in a series of cleanups we are hosting for the International Coastal Cleanup 2020 Season. Each with no more than 10 people to allow for social distancing in an effort to keep all our staff and volunteers safe.

This is a waterway paddle cleanup. 

*IMPORTANT - Volunteers interested in this waterway cleanup must provide their own SUP, kayak or canoe, as well as safety gear including, but not limited to, a personal flotation device (PFD) and a sound signaling device (whistle). NO EXCEPTIONS!

  • Volunteers will be required to wear masks upon arrival and until situated in their watercraft and on the water. 
  • Sunscreen, insect repellent, sunglasses and hat are also highly recommended
  • Please also bring water in a reusable water bottle. 

Blue Scholars will provide garbage bags/buckets and gloves. Community Service Hours also provided to requesting participants. All the necessary details and information will be emailed following registration.
