North Miami, it's that time of year again! We need to keep our city clean. Join us for the International Coastal Cleanup to make this effort successful. Ocean trash is a consequential issue in our society that affects our health and environment.

In 2016 more than 18 million pounds of trash was collected by over 500,000 volunteers during the International Coastal Cleanup. Here in Miami-Dade, we collected 15,000 pounds of marine debris from 31 miles of coastline. Join our site to help us come together and tackle the trash around the world. Community Service hours provided!

Where possible, please have guests in your party RSVP individually so we can ensure they get all information and details about the event, and we can better plan to capacity.

Registration begins at 8 AM under the tent near the pier.

There is a parking lot located on site. Parking is very limited so we encourage you to carpool.

Please fill out the waivers that will be sent to you via email after you register and email them back so that the registration process can be smoother.

Participants 15 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult.

ALL participants under the age of 18 must have a parent/guardian sign the waiver in advance.

We will provide garbage bags, data collection cards, a giveaway goodie bag, snacks, and water.

Volunteers should:

  • Wear appropriate closed-toes shoes or water shoes and comfortable clothes.
  • Sunscreen and insect repellant, sunglasses, hat are highly recommended.
  • Please bring a reusable water bottle to refill your bottle with water. Let's reduce our plastic waste and refuse single-use disposable plastic water bottles, when possible.

Before the event, download the Ocean Conservancy’s CleanSwell app to log, tally and measure the impact of your cleanup.  With Clean Swell, the data you collect will upload to Ocean Conservancy’s global ocean trash database in real time. It’s easier and more fun than using the paper data cards! You can download the app here:
