Floatopia Green Awareness Team (South Beach)

We need help on this one - Floatopia will be bringing thousands of visitors from all around South Florida to bask in the sun and float in the water. Unfortunately many leave lots of litter on the sand and in the water. We are going to try and change that through engagement, providing garbage bags, and the famous 'Trash Floats'. We are here to RAISE AWARENESS - NOT CLEAN UP AFTER THEM.!.

Come assist whenever you can.  We will be there starting around 2pm until sunset.

Tasks :

     - Working the tents (education, free water)
     - Engaging people when they get to the beach
     - Positive Engagement with people on the Softpack Sand
     - Floating Trash Cans (Kayak and SUP)
     - Patrolling the waterline to ensure no trash gets in the water
     - Reporting major violations to Code Enforcement

TRANSPORT AND PARKING - There will be 6-8,000 people, so don't even try to drive. Use public transport, get a ride, or Lyft / Uber (if you aren't a Lyft user already, use code KIRA892722).
