Legion Park Earthday Event & Cleanup

The First Annual Earth Day and Wellness Expo is a community and family educational event that will raise awareness of environmental conservation and healthy living. The event is pet friendly!

VolunteerCleanUp.org will be hosting shoreline clean ups every half hour beginning at 1:PM. (1:PM, 1:30PM, 2:PM, 2:30PM). Please wear closed toed shoes and sign the waiver.

Program highlights of the day will include: environmental conservation displays, health and wellness non-profits and service agencies, on-stage entertainment, children’s activities, eco-fashion show, awards, essay and poster contest, workshops on wellness, a nature study and plant giveaways. Pet friendly vendors will be on site offering discounted vaccinations.

A wide variety of thematic vendor booths will include: arts and crafts, skin and hair care products, candles and soaps, neighborhoods associations, environmental non-profits, local government agencies. Vegan, raw, vegetarian and artisanal foods and beverages will be available for sale.

What to know before you go:

- The Upper Eastside Farmers Market will feature even more great vendors at the event and will continue until 3:PM.

- Two Upper Eastside (UES) free neighborhood trolleys will be available at the following locations every 30 minutes or so bringing everyone to Legion Park: https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=zXZ9hlSzknqg.kf9FSPwVXx2o&usp=sharing

- Parking will be available along next to Legion Park at NE 64th St at no charge. The trolley will also stop at MidPoint Shops for additional off-site parking.

- All homeowner associations will have a table. If you would like to volunteer at your neighborhood’s table, let us know.

- Please bring your own cups for free water from our water stations.

- Lots of events for kids – a tree scavenger hunt, fitness activities, mascots.

- It is a pet friendly event with vets on site. Please scoop your poop.

- The fruit tree giveaway will start at 11:AM with only City of Miami residents (with ID) eligible to receive fruit trees. Trees will be given away on a first come first served basis, limit 2 trees per person.
