Miami Beach Post Irma Cleanup - 46 Street

Irma washed up a lot of Seaweed mixed with plastic onto the beaches. The City of Miami Beach is partnering with VolunteerCleanup.Org to get the plastic out before the seaweed goes back out to the ocean.

The city will have a tent on the beach east of the dunes on 46th Street. Enter the beach through the beach crossover north of the Eden Roc Hotel. The city will provide volunteers with gloves and bags that they can use to collect litter deposited on the beach by the storm. A water cooler will be provided and volunteers are encouraged to bring their own reusable bottles.

If you can't make it to this cleanup, please grab a garbage bag and head to your own favorite beach since we won't be able to cover the entire stretch over the next couple days.
