International Coastal Cleanup Day | The Friends of Oleta River State Park

The Friends are hosting a shoreline cleanup on September 19 at Oleta River State Park as part of the Ocean Conservancy's International Coastal Cleanup Day.  After we'll finish up with the Sandspur Island cleanup group to celebrate our hard work with some snacks and treats!

It will be a special cleanup day focusing on our fragile coasts and marine ecosystems with some games and challenges added in to make for extra fun and excitement.

We will begin signing in volunteers @8:45AM and the cleanup at about 1/2 hour later.  Please meet the Friends at the Osprey pavilion (near/east of Parking lot 6) - the Park front gate attendant will give your instructions.

Please make sure to wear solid shoes/sun protective clothes/hat/sunscreen and gloves. Please bring a REFILLABLE WATER BOTTLE. We will supply cold water refills.
