JLL Beach Cleanup

You are invited to participate in a beach cleanup with VolunteerCleanup.org at Bill Baggs State Park to learn about our local marine debris problem and to learn how to become part of the solution.

** VolunteerCleanup.org will provide all supplies for the cleanup (gloves, buckets, garbage bags, pickers, sunscreen, water, hand sanitizer, a water cooler for filtered cold water refills)

We will be meeting at Pavilion A9, located in Picnic Area A.   Volunteers also receive free entry to the Park, they just need to identify themselves as volunteers to the Front Gate Ranger Station

Community service hours provided!

Volunteers Should:

  • Dress for the weather and wear shoes you are comfortable walking on the beach in.
  • Hat and sunglasses are also recommended for a hot and sunny day.
  • All participants from JLL will receive a reusable water bottle to use during the event and to take home.  We will provide water coolers for cold water refills but will not be providing bottled water.
  • Download the Clean Swell App to participate in the Citizen Science Data Logging. You will work in teams of 2-3ppl

Volunteers must check in and sign waivers before you start. Download Waiver  Pre-signing and bringing with you will help expedite check-in!

Please register in advance so we can plan for turn-out and ensure we have enough supplies on hand.

BBQ lunch will follow, after the cleanup.
