SCUBA Cleanup with Debris Free Oceans & Diver's Paradise
Join us for a two-tank reef cleanup out of Key Biscayne with Diver's Paradise and Debris Free Oceans! We will be diving at two reefs off of Miami while safely removing any debris we may find.
Cleanup supplies (gloves, mesh bags and shears) will be provided by Debris Free Oceans, and all scuba gear is available for rent at the dive shop. The dive trip costs $90 including tanks, but excluding any dive gear rentals you may need.
After each dive, we will record data about the marine debris that we collect, and submit this data to Project AWARE and Southeast Florida Action Network (FDEP) for future use by researchers and policy-makers.
You must have your open-water diver certification or higher, and have dove at least once in the last 12 months.
To reserve a spot, simply RSVP through VolunteerCleanup.org, and you will be contacted by our team with further information. RSVPing here does not guarantee a seat as the boat might fill up, but spots will be offered on a first come first serve basis. Feel free to email [email protected] with any questions!
Note: this is not a guided dive. If you would like to be accompanied by a dive master or instructor, you will have to book a guide through the dive shop for an additional fee.
