Biscayne National Park | International Coastal Cleanup
Florida Sea Grant and Debris Free Oceans are partnering up to offer this marine debris removal opportunity in Biscayne National Park. The volunteers will travel BY BOAT to one of Elliott Key's oceanside sea turtle nesting beaches. Once we arrive, we will anchor, and wade to shore in water that can be waist-deep. You will get wet! Dive booties are recommended for this, and a few pairs will be available for use.
The debris removed will be reported to the 2018 International Coastal Cleanup total.
RSVP ONLY - THIS TRIP IS LIMITED TO 10 PEOPLE. Please only RSVP if you are dedicated to coming, and if there are no more spots left, please email Ana at [email protected] to be placed on the waiting list.
All trash removed during this cleanup will be provided to Gabriela Sanchez Barrocas for the Debris Maze Challenge, an art piece aimed to raise awareness of the marine debris found in Biscayne National Park.
