MLK DOS at BNP

This event is in honor of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service and is a partnership between Biscayne National Park and UF/IFAS Extension & Florida Sea Grant in Miami-Dade County.

We will boat across Biscayne Bay to Elliott Key. We will anchor in waist-deep water and wade through water to reach the shoreline. Close-toed shoes and comfort in the water are required. We'll remove debris for 2-3 hours, weigh the debris, load the boats and return to the Visitor Center. This event will happen rain or shine, though local weather conditions will determine our exact site. Anticipated return time is 1:00pm.
