Crandon Park Earthstravaganza Kayak, Snorkel, and Clean with Miami EcoAdventures, FYCCN, and the Biscayne Nature Center
Join Miami EcoAdventures (Miami Dade County Parks), Florida Youth Conservation Centers Network (Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission), and the Marjory Stoneman Douglas Biscayne Nature Center for a Earth Day cleanup of Bear Cut Preserve on kayaks and in the water snorkeling. People interested in this cleanup should be comfortable in the water and should have experience in kayaking and snorkeling. We will provide kayak and snorkel gear to volunteers. Participants should meet at the Crandon Park Nature Center (Crandon Park North Beach entrance). Please bring swimwear, comfortable clothes that can get dirty, close-toed shoes that can get wet, protection from the sun (sunglasses, sunscreen, hats), a refillable water bottle, and snacks. This cleanup event is open to volunteers ages 15 and up.
In the event weather and/or water conditions are unsafe, we will cancel this cleanup. If we need to cancel, we will notify participants as soon as possible.
