Crandon Park EcoAdventures/Plan(T) EcoAction Day (North Beach entrance).
Join our naturalists in restoring the park and its natural areas by participating in our monthly beach clean-up. In addition to this regular cleanup, we are working with Cortada Projects to help implement Plan(T), a county-wide eco-art effort aimed at helping our local community learn about and plan for a future impacted by climate change. To create Plan(T) installations across Miami-Dade County, we will be helping collect mangrove propagules during the scheduled clean-up. This program meets at the Crandon Park Nature Center (Crandon Park North Beach entrance). Please bring comfortable closed-toed shoes, insect repellent, work gloves (if you have them), and protection from the sun. Long shirts/pants, water, hats, and sunglasses are highly recommended. We also suggest bringing a refillable water bottle and snacks. We will be transporting volunteers from the Nature Center to the Crandon Marina for this volunteer event.
*This is a regularly occurring monthly event, happening on the second Saturday of each month. So if you cannot make this event, join us another time!
