The Ultra-mate Plog/Hash Cleanup

Come join us for the ultra-mate workout and eco-action simultaneously! We are going to comb the beaches around the Ultra Festival location - plogging style. That means we are going to lightly jog picking up any trash that washes back up to the beaches WITHOUT STOPPING! (There will be a walkers crew who will take their time and really dig-in) We will share with you the art to plogging that maximizes both your workout and trash pickup skillz. Beer will be provided for those that have a reusable container, and then gravity will pull us to the Wetlab.

There is an art to this sport and it's actually quite fun. It's easier to get more points in teams so bring a friend!

Est: 6-8miles (slow)

Terrain is very twisty/turny so if you have weak ankles... be careful!

How to get points:
1.) No stopping - (if you have to stop to pick it up, no bueno, the primary goal to get a good run in and to feel good doing it. Stopping kinda messes with that)
2.) Pickup style - I like to do a lil twist dip myself, lunges are popular too. But try and bend your legs and not bend your back too much.
3.) Being ridiculously good looking.
4.) Avoid the big pieces unless a trashcan is nearby, focus on the little stuff.
5.) Styrofoam and lighters (with fluid) are the most points.
6.) Brittle plastic like plastic bags secondary
7.) paper and other organics, not very high scoring.

There aren't actually points.

Please bring:
Running outfit
Portable trashbag like this ->
(We will be passing a lot of trashcans to unload at along the way.)
Energy and Enthusiasm
Gloves if you want to be safe
A friend
