Weekly Cleanup under the Caveman Bridge #6

Help clean up the tourist entrance to Riverside Park!  This is the view that they see when they walk over from Riverside Inn, down the staircase, and under the bridge.  It has a lot of small, old litter in one area that took a long time to build up, and new litter all over the area every week, but we are getting ahead of it.  It will take more than a few group efforts to get it clean enough for the city to be able to keep it clean.

Turn in to the left just past the 6th Street (Caveman) Bridge into Riverside Park.  Park in the closest spaces to the bridge, and sign in at the tan Ford Ranger pickup with the table.

Bring a litter grabber, bucket, gloves, and water.  Meet in the parking lot at 10am.  We will first clean the bridge, then the area beneath and the disc golf course around it, if enough people show up.

The litter is very concentrated; a grabber makes cleaning it a lot easier.  It is a very useful tool for reaching and picking up things apart from litter.  They are sold at Ewing Irrigation on 6th and Bridge (M) Streets, at Walmart or online.

This event will be held every Saturday indefinitely.  There is little point in cleaning an area if you don't keep it clean.
