SOS Ocean Conservation Day & Shoreline Clean Up
Attention All Ocean Lovers - Come join us!
Stoked On Salt & SeaWatch created an Ocean Conservation Day with a Shoreline Clean Up on Sunday, July 16, 2017 in Lauderdale-By-The-Sea.
This day will focus on CORALS - MANATEES - LIONFISH - BEACH/OCEAN DEBRIS - SHARKS - SEA TURTLES - MANTA RAYS - LOBSTERING - FISHING REGULATIONS, etc....
Date: Sunday, July 16, 2017
Time: 10am - 3pm
Ocean Conservation Area: 10am - 3pm
Shoreline Clean Up & Ocean Cool Down : 9:30am - 11:30am
Snorkel and/or Shore Dive on the reef right behind SeaWatch - it is full of colorful living corals and tropical fish species. Please bring Dive Flag.
Parking: Free Parking. Park in the SeaWatch parking lot or across the street at the Assumption Catholic Church parking lot.
Event: Free family event and open to the public. We encourage you to promote the event to all ocean lovers !
Details: Over 20 Ocean/Marine Conservation Tables will be set up to display/educate/sell behind the SeaWatch Restaurant on their grassy lawn - just steps from the ocean!
Stoked On Salt (SOS) and SeaWatch will be providing each person with a free Canvas Tote to fill with outreach and educational materials/brochures/pens/stickers as you visit table-to-table. Each conservation group will have items to sell at their tables, as well.
Food & Drink: Lunch and Drinks will be served at SeaWatch from 10:30am to 3:30pm. A 20% Off coupon will be handed out to volunteers who participate in the shoreline cleanup
