Virginia Key Outdoor Center No. Point - International Coastal Cleanup
It's International Coastal Cleanup time again and we're hitting the far reaches of Virginia Key's North Point.
Bring your paddleboards, kayaks or canoe! This group will have to paddle out to the island's north point across the Port of Miami and Fisher Island. On low tide the area is accessible by land. On 9/17 this will not be possible, only water access will be available. We have a support boat thanks to Tom Mattison of Atlantic Reef Conservation. That means cold water, and a trash barge are available to make our efforts more productive. Do you have a motor boat or know someone who does? We can use more help. There's a lot of trash out there. Please email me to arrange for additional support.
We have some paddling equipment available through Virginia Key Outdoor Center. You will have to prebook by emailing me, Esther at [email protected]
If you have equipment to share let's coordinate. Bring it out so we can share our love of nature.
